About Margaret

Margaret So is a creative portrait photographer and artist from Glen Waverley, Victoria. Margaret has formal qualifications in photography and has been trained in both practical and technical skills in using a variety of photographic and studio equipment, and photo editing/retouching. She will work with you to produce the types of images you need to tell your story in photos and she is open to exploring different ideas/concepts.

Margaret loves emotions and stories in photos. They make her heart sing...

That is why alot of her personal creative work involve stories, art, themes, or concepts which you can view in the "Narratives" section. Her business name Margaret's PhotoArtx is a natural choice as it reflects her photography style as a combination of both Photography and Art.

Why stories are important? Stories are a powerful form of communication. It is easier for the human mind to recall stories than to remember information. Stories are used in entertaining people, to communicate culture, identity and values, and also used as parables to help people understand something. Stories can also connect people to events, imagery, inspire people, make people feel as if they were there or make their hearts pound.
